First Friday Shorts | The New Parkway

On July 5, 2013, First Friday Shorts once again puts young people’s visions and stories center stage by featuring youth-produced short films from the Bay Area Youth Media Network (BAYMN).

Building on the success of BAYMN’s first youth media festival held in June, First Friday Shorts will screen highlights from the festival, including some of the winning films.

The Bay Area Youth Media Network is a consortium of nonprofit organizations that believe in the power of media (film, music, radio, photography, web and technology) as a means to engage youth voice, self-expression, empowerment, and to inspire social change.
