2013 Greater Good Food Film Festival | SF

The Greater Good Food Film Festival features eight nights of documentary film and discussion that will address different food system related topics, ranging from the health of soil and bees to the role of policy from October 9-24, 2013.

Some films will be followed with speakers and discussions lead by experts in the field. Local food vendors will offer food at certain events as well.

Make sure to also check out the Greater Good Food Fair on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Civic Center Plaza.

The World According to Monsanto | 2013 Greater Good Food Film Festival | SF

The World According to Monsanto is a 2008 film directed by Marie-Monique Robin. Originally released in French as Le monde selon Monsanto, the film is based on Robin’s three-year long investigation into the corporate practices around the world of the United States multinational corporation, Monsanto.

The World According to Monsanto is also a book written by Marie-Monique Robin, winner of the Rachel Carson Prize (a Norwegian prize for female environmentalists), which has been translated into many languages. (Source: wikipedia)
