Free 30-Minute Parking at SFO for the Holidays
SFO is providing a simple option for drivers dropping-off or picking-up family or friends to conveniently use the short-term garages for free for stays of 30 minutes or less. This offer is available in the Domestic Parking Garage and both International Parking Garages A and G.
A great option if you want to avoid congestion at the curb or simply want a few extra minutes to say goodbye.

FREE for up to 30 minutesPlease note if you go over 31 minutes or more, you’ll be charged $2 for every 15 minutes… including your first 30 minutes.
How to Get your Free 30 Mins Express Parking
- Follow signs for Domestic Terminal Hourly Parking
- Stay in Left-most lane “Express Drop Off / Pick Up” – this gives quickest access to 5th floor
- Pull a ticket upon entering
- Go to the passenger area or park your car
- You have 30 minutes to claim your free parking. If you stay longer, charges start from the time you entered the garage – rates are $2 for every 15 minutes.
- When exiting present your ticket to the attendant.
