Event Details

Outdoor Movie Night returns to Duboce Park on Saturday, October 4. Join Friends of Duboce Park for a magical evening as we screen Disney Pixar’s Coco on the big outdoor screen! Winner of two Academy Awards, including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, Coco is a visually stunning and deeply moving film that has touched audiences worldwide.

Coco is a 2017 animated comedy-drama film by Pixar about a young boy named Miguel who dreams of becoming a musician, despite his family’s generations-old ban on music. On Día de los Muertos, Miguel is transported to the colorful Land of the Dead, where he embarks on an extraordinary journey to discover the truth about his family’s past. Along the way, he meets charming new friends, uncovers long-kept secrets, and learns the powerful importance of remembering and honoring loved ones who came before us.

The movie starts at dusk, approximately 7 p.m., on Saturday, October 4 on the Upper Lawn. Pack a picnic and bring your blankets, low chairs, and cozy layers. Arrive early to grab a good spot! This is a free, family-friendly event.
The event is sponsored by Friends of Duboce Park and San Francisco Recreation & Parks. For more information, please contact Mark Scheuer at mark@friendsofdubocepark.org or 415-987-9545 or visit https://friendsofdubocepark.org/events-activities/movienight/.
