14 Free Round Trip “Treasure Island Ferry” Rides on Valentine’s Day 2026 (SF)

On Valentine’s Day 2026 (Feb. 14), the Treasure Island Ferry invites sweethearts (and friends!) to hop aboard for a complimentary round-trip ride across the bay.

Tickets are normally $5 each way, but on Valentine’s Day they are free.

There are 14 round trips on Saturday. The first ferry of the day leaves SF’s Ferry Building at 9:50am. The last one leaves Treasure Island at 8:50p.

Whether dining at Mersea, sipping spirits at Gold Bar, hiking or biking on the trails, enjoying a picnic at Cityside Park, or simply taking in the landmark postcard views of the Downtown San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz Island, and the Bay Bridge, they can revel in the romance of one of SF’s most treasured neighborhoods.

The ferry departs multiple times a day from the Ferry Building. Just a 10-minute ride to Treasure Island, the ferry journey affords breathtaking views of the iconic San Francisco skyline.

How do you get the free ferry ride for 2026?

Just show up! We’ve been told by the promoter that for 2026 they won’t be checking tickets on Valentine’s Day – so no need to reserve tickets in advance. It’s free!!!! (confusingly, there’s no details about this promo on their website or socials, but we’ve confirmed with them on 2/13/26 that it’s valid)

There’s no details in the submission they gave us or on their landing page or their socials. They did the same promotion two years ago and required the code TILOVE24 to book free tickets, but we don’t see anything like that for this year. Do you just hop on the ferry and they don’t check tickets on Valentine’s Day? We don’t know! We’ve reached out to the promoter to try to learn more.
