Event Details

The Hayward Public Library, California State University East Bay, and other community partners are collaborating on Book-to-Action: The Future of Food. The community-based program is focused on food sustainability and justice.

The Keynote Event for the program will take place on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Hayward City Hall.

Schedule

5-7:00 pm: Sustainable Food FairCooking demonstrations and food samples provided by Blue Heron Catering.

7-9:00 pm: Speakers:

  • Liz Carlisle, author of Lentil Underground
  • David Oien, organic farmer & CEO of Timeless Foods, Montana
  • Dr. Larry Kushi, Kaiser Permanente
  • Dr. Ricardo Salvador, Union of Concerned Scientists
