Block Party: Tattoos, Motorcycles & Go-Go Dancers | Oakland

Never been here? Well, it’s something else: motorcycle shop + tattoo parlor + breakfast cafe + full bar = GODSPEED!

It’s a place that’s been known as much as a Gearhead Speed Parlour and a hangout for the East Bay Rats Motorcycle Club as a breakfast spot where you get all-you-can-eat waffles, bacon and Mimosa for $7.

Having recently acquired their liquor license, they’re putting on a FREE benefit block party to match, with much of the proceeds going to the orphaned kids of two former founders of Godspeed: Nate and Norton.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• DYNO Meter Shootout: strap your bike to this machine and rev up. We’ll get a reading on your horsepower and you’ll go toe-to-toe with the best gearheads in the neighborhoods!
• TATTOO Specials: The tattoo shop will be offering some $20 and $50 specials that day!
• Halloween Costume Contest: At midnight we’ll have a showdown for best costumes w prizes!
• Stuff for Kids: There’ll be face-painting and (non-permanent) tattoos and other activities!
• Godspeed GO-GO GIRLS: In the evening, the dancers will come out. There’s even a rumor that the Raiderettes will come out! (Only one way to know for sure…)
• Nate & Norton Fund Raffle: A benefit for the founders’ own children!
• Great food: besides the breakfast specials, we’ll have hot dogs, sloppy joes and more!
• Live music from PLAN 9: Awesome show from the legendary local Misfits cover band!
• also music from SHELBY COBRA: Girl Punk-Rock band from Los Angeles!
• NO Cover Charge! Party will be going from Noon till 2 am!
