Halloween/Day of the Dead Celebration | Berkeley

Event Details

Come celebrate Halloween/El Día de los Muertos, at this cross-cultural event sponsored by the Berkeley Farmers’ Markets.

Bring an offering, photograph, or craft to display on the Day of the Dead Altar while Cuauhtli Mitotiani Mexica Aztec dancers dance and bless the Altar.

The celebration will also feature:

  • Pumpkin Patch
  • Pumpkin Carving Contest – prizes (at 5pm); either bring a pre-carved pumpkin or carve one on the spot.
  • Costume Making table by the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse
  • Sugar Skull Decorating Activity 5pm-6pm
  • Pies and Champurrado (sacred Atzec hot chocolate drink) will also be available from Mission Pie and Flacos.
