Zombies. The Apocalypse. Hobos. Musical ghosts. Angels. Demons. Martians. Fairies. Rock’n’roll. They all collide in Hard Times Blues, the second collection from local author/storyteller Elwin Cotman.

Come celebrate with a night of reading and performance on July 24, 2013.

The author lineup is:

  • Elwin Cotman is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the author of The Jack Daniels Sessions EP. He is a former resident of the Cyberpunk Apocalypse Writers’ Cooperative. As a performance artist, Cotman has read at venues across the country, and this summer is embarking on the Hard Times Blues Tour.
  • Terra Brigando earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in English and Creative Writing from Mills College in 2012, where she was 1st runner up for the Amanda Davis Thesis Award in Fiction. Her work has appeared in various literary magazines throughout the country. She currently resides in the Bay Area where she enjoys reading, writing, and watching.
  • Miquila Alejandre is passionate about writing, giving under-served kids the best education possible, and love. She feels most capable with a list in her pocket. Traipsing around in dresses and muddying them up makes her happy. Her favorite pastimes include: connecting, basking in sunlight on a patch of lush grass, and making clothes.
