Indie Mart is back after an 8-month hiatus to show local design, DIY and music on Sunday July 24 from noon to 7pm at Thee Parkside and Wisconsin Street in Potrero Hill.
Featuring over 80 vendors, food, beer, stiff drinks, a photobooth and more, this gathering of artists, screenprinters, illustrators and makers will keep you busy looking at everything from tee-shirts to typography.
Especially since in addition to crafts, there will also be a healthy dose of competition with the Mart’s 2nd Annual DIY Competition, judged by Broke Ass Stuart, Kelly Malone and the Hard French DJs, as well as a soul & oldies dance competition.
Other activities include Workshop SF’s “Make Your Own Terrarium” fundraiser, retro makeovers by Fox & Doll (Guys can get something too by opting for a black eye instead of bee-stung lips) and more. This all to tune of all-day DJing and live music from the likes of Ugly Winner, the SF Rock Project, Marabelle Phoenix and more.
Admission to get into this fundraiser for founder Kelly Malone’s cancer treatments (which includes both the street fair and Thee Parkside) is a sliding $3-5 donation. A $20 donation to her fund also gets you admission to indie mart, a rad indie mart tee or tote bag, a raffle ticket and admission to the afterparty show (which will also include a soon-to-be-announced special guest).
