HYIM is an innovative singer, musician and activist from Oakland, called “spellbinding” by the SF Chronicle.
HYIM’s music smoothly assimilates such disparate sources as Jamaican reggae, Cuban son, Brazilian rhythms, Mediterranean beats, and urban DJ techniques. Performing live, he lays down mind-blowing loops on percussion instruments and guitar, then moves to his foremost instrument, the piano, and adds the finishing touches.
