If so, then join the South San Francisco Public Library for an introduction to the Internet Archive and Open Library with Internet Archive librarian and archivist Michelle Krasowski. The Internet Archive was founded in San Francisco in 1996 with the goal of preserving the internet and digital -born materials to ensure continued access into the future. Currently, over 8,000,000 fully accessible, free eBooks can be accessed via the Internet Archive and Open Library. During her presentation, Michelle Krasowski will describe ongoing projects at the Internet Archive, demonstrate how to access books and other digital resources, and teach attendees how to sign up for a free virtual library card. Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. at South San Francisco Main Library.
