SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2025
The 2025 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 10, 2025 with La Santa Cecilia to kick off its 25th Anniversary Season.
The annual Jenny Lind Concert is a beloved and long-running Yerba Buena Gardens Festival tradition that showcases the most extraordinary young sopranos from Sweden. This year’s program introduces 26-year-old Kine Sandtrø and Julia Sjöstedt, 23. Hailing from Trøndelag, Norway, Sandtrø enrolled in her candidate program at the University College of Opera in Stockholm, Sweden last year. Sjöstedt is from Härnösand in Sweden and just started her Master’s Degree under the guidance of Stefan Bojsten. She performs as a soloist and as a chamber musician, and has earned several scholarships, including one from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. Presented with the Consulate General of Sweden in San Francisco, the Jenny Lind Concert offers a thrilling peek at the future of opera.
