Remember those summer nights at camp spent around the campfire, singing songs and roasting marshmallows? Come and relive that summer camp magic at the JCCSF’s second annual free Kumzitz-a-Palooza Sing-Along.

A diverse lineup of Bay Area song leaders, will assemble around a “blazing” electric campfire, covering old favorites from summer camps. Free popcorn, cider and brownies will fuel the fun, and BYO blankets, sleeping bags and pillows are encouraged.

Kumzitz-A-Palooza
Saturday, February 8, 2014 | 7 pm
JCCSF, 3200 California St, San Francisco
FREE

“Kumzitz,” from the Yiddish word for “come sit,” indicates a relaxed gathering, often around a fire. Kumzitz-a-Palooza kicks it up a notch, elevating the word to an all-out party. Kanbar Hall – normally reserved for lectures and performances where audiences remain silent in their seats – will be transformed into the campfire setting familiar at summer camps everywhere.

The event is free, open to the public, and all ages are welcome.
