Event Details

Macy’s is proud to host the 4th Annual Green Series at Macy’s Union Square, where farmers and chefs share their tips and philosophies on greening your kitchen and incorporating seasonal, local foods.

Participants will learn about growing herbs from organic farmer Dan Lehrer of Flatland Flower Farm, and taste how cooking with them can enliven meals with Chris L’Hommedieu, Chef de Cuisine of Michael Mina. Hear how your food choices can benefit your health and the community at large.

Seating starts at 2 pm and is on a first-come, first-served basis. With your $5 donation to CUESA, the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture, you’ll receive a sample of the featured dish as well as an organically grown culinary herb. This event is produced in partnership with CUESA, the local non-profit that operates the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and its educational programs.
