Event Details

Join author and activist Virgie Tovar for an empowering discussion of fat discrimination, body image, and diet culture. Get ready to start the holidays with love – by losing the hate, not the weight.

Tovar will present the origins of the diet culture – which began over 200 years ago with the inventor of the graham cracker. She’ll talk about the cultural obsession with weight loss, and how they can break up with diet culture in order to truly appreciate body diversity.
