Lunar New Year Fest 2024 at Great Mall (Milpitas)

Great Mall wishes you and your family good fortune and happiness in 2024, the Year of the Dragon. As one of the largest shopping destinations in Northern California, Great Mall is proud to celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of the Asian-American community in the Bay Area.  

Families, residents and visitors are welcome to join the celebrations at the property and explore the limited edition products our top brands have to ring in the Lunar New Year on February 17, from 12 pm to 3 pm, at Entrance 2.

• Cultural Inspired Dance Performance (12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.): A popular event during the holiday, lion dances are believed to scare away evil spirits and bring in good luck into the new year. Visitors can enjoy a special live performance from Helen Dance Academy.
• Red Envelope Giveaways: Red envelopes symbolize good luck, prosperity and happiness in the new year, and Great Mall wants to provide you with a little shopping luck with a gift card giveaway. Five lucky winners will have the chance to go home with a $250 American Express gift card, by entering to win a drawing at Docker’s, The Cosmetic Company Store, Hat Club, Columbia and Box Lunch so don’t miss out on this opportunity! 
• Arts & Crafts: Children of all ages can create their own cultural inspired arts and crafts. 
• Tea Leaf Reading: An ancient method of forecasting futures and learning more about destinies, a fortune teller will take a close look at the loose tea leaves in your teacup throughout the event festivities.
• Calligraphy Artist Sessions: A local calligraphy artist is offering complimentary limited-edition, Year of the Dragon-themed silk fans.
• Exclusive Deals and Discounts: Columbia, Dockers, The Cosmetics Company Store, Hat Club and Box Lunch are offering exclusive deals at Great Mall, just in time for your Lunar New Year celebration.
