The Class of ’84 presents “In Memoriam: David Bowie” on Thursday, January 14, 2016. Gather together to share the love for this one of a kind artist who has touched so many of us. Come to The Cat Club with two rooms and two full bars of legal libation to help make you more sociable than you might already be during this shocking and horrible week. It’s gonna be ok if you dance, cry and sing at the same time.
Free before 9:30 pm; $7 after, so get there early for the $2 well drinks until 10 pm, and $1 off Coors Light & Newcastle Brown Ale all night.
There will be a shrine in the front room by the big mirror with lots of ‘oh you pretty thing’ pictures to look at with post-it notes and actual writing devices, so you can leave Him a note or a message, or maybe a word of encouragement to come back?
DJs Dangerous Dan with guests DJ Omar from Leisure & Popscene and Le Perv from Darkroom guide you through the magic and the wonder of the extensive back catalogue of David Bowie and the best of the rest of the ’80s New Wave era, spinning the classic underground dark ’80s mix in back on two huge video screens for your video viewing pleasure. DJs Damon & Steve play the rock, pop and one hit wonders all night in the front room with even more David Bowie than usual.
Would you like, no… do you NEED a lightning bolt to honor David Bowie? Erin Gallagher Make up and Hair will be there to help you with this particular need, so get to her before she runs out of make up.
