Event Details

Join us for a Family Art Workshop! This workshop is part one of a two part activity, Monochromatic Collage and Blackout Poetry, though each part can stand alone as well. Part One is Monochromatic Collage.

During this workshop, we will be using a magazine and scissors to make monochromatic or one color collages. For example, if red is the color you chose you would cut out around 20-30 pieces of all the red found in your magazine. You can use old magazines, newspapers, or printed images you like.

The age range for this craft is 10 years old and older. This is meant to be a craft the entire family can do, so an adult supervisor is required to attend, and highly encouraged to craft alongside the child. No artistic skill required!

For part one of this Family Art Workshop, the sole focus will be to make a monochromatic collage, and for part two of this, we will be adding blackout poetry to our collages. You don’t have to attend both events, however if you would like to attend the second event make sure you save your collage.

Instructions for Monochromatic Collage

Supplies: A magazine, scissors, glue or tape, and base paper (printer or construction paper, your base can be any color you would like to use)

You will receive instructions to join via zoom after you sign up here. Look for an email from MoAD after you sign up, if you don’t receive it in your inbox, look in your spam or junk mail.
