Celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 24th with a day of volunteering. Help out with several local projects in the Bayview neighborhood and help do your part for San Francisco’s open lands and parks. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Projects include: Park beautification, trash pick up, weeding, mulching, playground sand sifting, edging and clearing. At the same time get quite a workout on America’s public lands, the gym with a view.

Participants will work at Casey Jones Playground, Hilltop Park, Adam Rogers Community Garden, Young Blood Coleman, and Gilman Playground. Kick off the day at Joe Lee Recreation Center – 1395 Mendell Street in San Francisco.

Schedule:
9am to 9:30am – Registration and Breakfast
9:30am – Welcome and kick-off
9:45am – 10am Walk or Drive to project sites
12:30pm Lunch and Recreational Activities at Joe Lee Rec Center

Bring your own bucket, glove and reusable water bottle.
