Join the Academy and KQED as we screen a number of films, programs, and talks throughout the building.
7:30 pm in African Hall – A 20-minute preview of Earth Days, an installment of the acclaimed American Experience series, with clips from QUEST, followed by a conversation between Warner Chabot- CEO of the California League of Conservation Voters and Paul Rogers of QUEST covering topics such as the history of the environmental movement and the priorities for the environmental movement today.
8:30 pm to 10:00 pm in the Piazza — a screening of the KQED documentary Saving the Bay. Narrated by Robert Redford, Saving the Bay explores the history of one of America’s greatest natural resources – San Francisco Bay – tracing the Bay from its geologic origins following the last Ice Age through years of catastrophic exploitation to restoration efforts of today. We also will have 10-15 minutes of previews of other environmental films.
