“Not-Our-Holiday” Free Concert, Popcorn & Nosh | Berkeley

Hear soulful, uplifting music with “Not-Our-Holiday” Concert with Linda Hirschhorn and Jack Gabriel at 2 pm on Wednesday December 25, 2013.

It will be a day of music, complimentary popcorn and nosh, puzzles and a store-wide Scavenger Hunt for prizes from 11 am to 5 pm.

Linda Hirschhorn
Singer, Songwriter, Performer, Cantor, Composer, Arranger, Choral Conductor, Life-Cycle Events Leader, and Director of Vocolot, Linda’s music spans the breadth of the personal and the political, the Jewish and the feminine, and celebrates life, love and friendship and the struggle for peace and justice for all people. Original songs and arrangements combining historic teachings with contemporary and homegrown wisdom are magical, healing, and inspirational.

Rabbi Jack Gabriel
While studying to be a Renewal rabbi, a friend asked him to sing on a Kermit the Frog album. Jack jumped at the chance and ended up recording lead vocals for “Sing Along with Kermit.” Now, he blends spirituality, joy and being cool in a way that just nobody else can do. He has shared music and Jewish Renewal, from Capetown to Kona, Toronto to Berkeley and has written over 613 songs in post-folk, post-reggae and post-Yeshiva styles.
