The Occupy Forum is a weekly event and a space to discuss issues of economic inequality and social justice.

Every Monday, there is a new topic and typically there is a guest speaker before the discussion. Come down and speak your mind about the critical issues we face today. It is free and open to all, although donations are encouraged.

“The Struggle for Free Speech at CCNY, 1931-42″ with Carol Smith

Presentation will include police surveillance photos, cartoons and graphics documenting the student and faculty activism at the City College of NY spawned by the Depression and the rise of fascism in Europe. This activism brought repeated crackdowns by the administration and culminated in the dismissal of 50 CCNY faculty & staff — the largest academic purge in US history.
