Original Famous Twang Sundays is a free, all-ages concert series at Thee Parkside in Potrero Hill.
Come by every Sunday; there’s always a fresh traditional or contemporary live act and a surprise special to purchase from the kitchen.
Sunday, October 4th Original Famous Twang Sundays welcomes Flash, Crash & Thunder, Jackson Emmer Trio to Thee Parkside. Flash, Crash & Thunder is a new band steeped in the California country tradition, as well as other great roots music like rockabilly and blues.
Jackson Emmer is a Country and Folk artist, known mostly for his songwriting, unique vocal style, and dynamic live performances. Emmer also plays the guitar, mandolin, and banjos. A prolific DIY artist, Emmer has self-released several records since 2007, both solo, and with old-time band The Howling Kettles. He collaborates frequently with Alison May, Sam Moss, and performs with the group: Hot Eagle. Emmer plays over 100 shows each year at a wide range of venues and has toured the US regularly since 2009. Born in Chicago, but raised in California and Colorado, Emmer lends a vibrant, mercurial voice to the American music tradition. His songs range from tender ballads to crispy barn burners, nonsense ramblings to wicked feats of English. His world of sound is at once rich, and simple.
