Event Details

PARK(ing) Day is an annual, worldwide event that inspires city dwellers everywhere to transform metered parking spots into temporary parks for the public good. These sometimes legal mini-parks are created all over the city for your enjoyment by creating mini public parks (or performance spaces, reading lounges)

Office Plant Petting Zoo
Bring your office plant for a playdate, or just relax in a (small) sea of green. Seed/soil containers will be distributed.

SPUR Park(ing) Day – SoMa – the people who started it all in 2005

SF State Park(ing) Day
Come to the quad and get a map of SF State’s Park(ing) Day locations on September 16th from 8am-2pm.

Park[ing] Day Dances 2010 in Berkeley, CA
Nina Haft & Company, in conjunction with Berkeley High School dancers, present Park[ing] Day Dances at 2201 Shattuck Avenue in downtown Berkeley. Shows at 10:15-10:45am; 11:15-11:45am; NH&Co. dances 5-12:45pm. With visual art by London-based artist Claudia Borgna and Berkeley HS AHA art students. Co-sponsored by the City of Berkeley and
Shawl-Anderson Dance Center.
