The Castro District | Castro Street, San Francisco, CA

Explore the Castro while collecting stamps and coupons at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery’s 3rd Annual Passport event on Sunday, October 23.

Focusing each year on a different neighborhood, this unique, DIY art collection event will have you visiting Castro hotspots like Cafe Flore, the Castro Theater and the Human Rights Campaign Action Center to collect original, artist-crafted stamps from the artists themselves.

Passports ($25) are available for purchase on Eventbrite.  But for the cheapsters out there looking for free fun, keep in mind that many businesses in the neighborhood will also be offering coupons and discounts in their store during the event.

So take advantage of some discounts and create your own DIY artist’s book at this fundraiser that will help you see one of the city’s most colorful and vibrant neighborhoods.
