San Francisco is celebrating the enigmatic anti-hero Fantomas, created a hundred years ago by Frenchmen Pierre Souvestre and Marcel Allain. The pulp literary sensation was the precursor to the master villains in the James Bond novels.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Fantomas series, City Lights Booksellers and Publishers joins centenary celebrations in Paris to commemorate this extraordinary literary event.
Come to An Elegant Threat, a performance piece and soiree by Janaki Ranpura with a special musical appearance by The Slow Poisoner.
