The President of the United States Barack Obama comes to Oakland to fundraise the hell out of the Bay Area. 

Although there’s no free public events scheduled, you might be lucky enough to get stuck in traffic for a few hours and catch a glimpse of the motorcade going through town. And there’s always the chance that he could me an “unscheduled” stop at a local restaurant or business like he did in SF the last time around.

There’s also bound to be lots of protests in Oakland, so occupy yourself there if you like.
