Event Details

In this bleak noir novel set in San Francisco, this master of hardboiled fiction Jim Nisbet (Prelude to a Scream) etches the lives of two wretched misfits in acid prose  – including one who makes high-class torture racks in downtown SF, and returns to City Lights to celebrate the paperback release of The Price of the Ticket.

“In the tradition of Jim Thompson and Damon Runyon, Nisbet is too good to miss.” —San Francisco Chronicle
