Pride in Panels: SF Queer Comics Festival, a groundbreaking gathering of LGBTQIA+ queer comics creators, is happening February 16–18. LGBTQIA+ comics are and have always been at the forefront of representation, telling authentic stories of queer lives when our communities need it the most. Queer cartoonists have provided a unique window into the hopes, fears, and fantasies of queer people for decades, and the queer comics scene has never been as dynamic and diverse as it is right now. Pride in Panels celebrates and showcases the remarkable vitality of the queer comics scene in the SF Bay Area and beyond!

The main event takes place on Sunday, February 18, 12–5 p.m. in the San Francisco Public Library’s Main Library, featuring wide-ranging panels, maker workshops and an exhibition hall with queer comics creators selling and signing their work, including such prominent artists as Maia Kobabe, Ed Luce, Ajuan Mance, Trinidad Escobar, Lawrence Lindell, and Lee Marrs.

We’ll also have a screening of the award-winning film No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics, along with a panel afterward, on Saturday, February 17, and a Queer Comics Reading at the Silver Sprocket bookstore on Friday, February 16.
