Event Details

Hear the behind-the-scenes stories of strategists who are spearheading efforts to disrupt jihadists in creative ways at a presentation by Pulitzer Prize-winner Eric Schmitt and national security correspondent Thom Shanker of the New York Times of  their new book “Counterstrike: The Untold Story of America’s Secret Campaign Against Al Qaeda”

Presented by UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism’s Investigative Reporting Program, this book focuses on a group of analysts within the government who fashioned an innovative and effective new strategy to fight terrorism.

An RSVP to juliehirano@berkeley.edu is required in advance for this free event that’s open to the public, so save your spot to hear an award-winning journalist speak about both strategists and spies alike, as well as America’s underground efforts against Al Qaeda.
