2011 Pet Pride Day | Golden Gate Park

Animal Care and Control of San Francisco hosts the 2011 Pet Pride Day with loads of activities for pet lovers. Hook the leash up your favorite furred friend, slip the sparkly collar on, and if you’re looking for a special someone to call your own, make your way to Golden Gate Park.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS: The SF Mounted Police Unit leads the parade of pets at noon. Pet trick contest begins at 1:50pm. There’s a pet halloween costume contest at 2:20pm.

Perhaps the strangest part of the day – the super dooper pooper scooper kiddie goodie scramble is at 1:25 pm. (let’s hope they leave the real poop for their parents to pick up.)
