“Roller Derby & Radios” Skate Party (Alameda)

Roller Derby & Radios. Calling all Bay Area Derby fans and Radio Aficionados: join us on Saturday February 28th, 2026 from 11 AM to 4 PM for our first-ever Radios and Roller Derby Fundraiser

Co-hosted by the California Historical Radio Society (CHRS) and Bay Area Derby, this event will provide an unique experience where viewers can watch and learn about the historic sport of roller derby while participating in our optional fundraiser to help support our skaters and new warehouse!

Other event highlights include~

– Open skate session: Event will include a free skate session where you can skate and groove!
The free skate session will occur from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm and please BYOS (Bring Your Own Skates) as no rentals will be available
– A vintage radio auction featuring rare and collectible radios specifically curated with BAD’s home and travel team color schemes
– A free guide with a map detailing all the best eats on Park Street, just two blocks away from CHRS’s Radio Central!

Located at 2152 Central Ave on Alameda Island, Radio Central is accessible by car or public transportation, using AC Transit (you should also @ them on IG) lines 30, 31, and 51A.
