Not only is Wednesday August 4th a “Double Play Wednesday” with $2 tickets and $1 hot dogs for the Oakland A’s afternoon game vs. the Kansas City Royals, but it’s also the 11th Annual Oakland A’s MUG Root Beer Float Day.
Before the game, (10:35 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.) A’s players, local celebrities, radio and television personalities will be serving MUG Root Beer and Orange Crush floats in the Eastside Club for $2.00 each. Proceeds from MUG Root Beer Float Day benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
BART Double Play Wednesdays – $2 Tickets, $1 Hot Dogs
Admission to this root beer hoot is free with a game ticket to that afternoon’s game against the Kansas City Royals. Game time is 12:35p
A’s players expected to participate are: Andrew Bailey, Craig Breslow, Trevor Cahill, Rajai Davis, Cliff Pennington, Adam Rosales and Gio Gonzalez. A’s coaches Mike Gallego and Todd Steverson (who went to Johnny Funcheap’s high school) .Players and coaches of course are subject to change
Scheduled to appear: Former A’s Greats Vida Blue, Dave Stewart, and Tony Phillips, A’s mascot Stomper, RiverCats mascot Dinger, the Raiderettes, Jenn and Pete from the Real World/ Road Rules Fresh Meat 2, Shooty Babitt, Brodie Brazil, Kate Longworth, Scott Reiss, Matt Steinmetz, and Ray Ratto from Comcast SportsNet/CSNCalifornia.com, plus other local Bay Area Celebrities from television and radio.
