San Francisco City Hall and Coit Tower are already bathed in 49ers Red and Gold each night, but how about something more?

At 3:00pm on Friday, January 20th, Mayor Ed Lee and the San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to raise 49ers flag over City Hall in advance of this Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

The best view for public to watch the flag being raised (rain or shine) is on Polk Street side steps of City Hall. The flag will be raised approximately 3pm.

Please note, although the public can watch the flag raising, the actual ceremony with the Mayor takes place inside the press room at City Hall (which is tiny and can’t accommodate large crowds) and is intended for the media rather than the general public.
