Presidio Free Programs: Talks, Music & Performances | SF
San Francisco’s tradition of diverse cultural expression started at the Presidio, and continues today with events that enlighten, engage, and entertain, taking place at the Presidio Officers’ Club.
Enjoy topical discussions, live music, dance, and interactive family activities, all free to the public and sponsored by the Presidio Trust, in partnership with cultural institutions from across the Bay Area.
The San Francisco Guitar Quartet plays with a vigor and clarity certain to electrify audiences. Founded in 1997, the group has established itself as a dynamic force in the guitar world through its innovative concerts and recordings. Drawing from a variety of musical traditions, they are committed to presenting new music and regularly collaborate with composers to expand the guitar quartet repertoire.
The members have distinguished themselves as recording artists and chamber musicians. The group’s individual achievements include a tour with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, First Prizes in the Sierra Nevada International Guitar Competition and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Guitar Concerto Competition, and performances at Carnegie Hall.
