You’ve seen theater in the parks but a new company is doing one better: putting on plays in bars!
San Francisco Theater Pub offers free admission to The Lovecraft Festival, a three night series of adaptations (presented radio play style) of work by horror and “weird fiction” novelist H. P. Lovecraft.
TODAY’S PERFORMANCE: for the finale, we offer “The Dunwich Horror,” about Wilbur Whateley — son of a deformed albino mother and an unknown father — and his strange life. See, he matures at an abnormal rate, reaching manhood within a decade. All the while, his sorcerer grandfather indoctrinates him into certain dark rituals and the study of witchcraft.
All performances begin promptly at 8pm, and seating is limited (so arrive early, like, at 7:30). This is last of the three performances.
