San Rafael Bead & Design Show (Aug 19-21)

Bead & Design is coming to San Rafael, with a three-day event bringing together a diverse group of independent artisans, beadmakers and tradespeople. From August 19 through 21, you will find over 120 artisan exhibits and hands-on workshops held at the Embassy Suites.

Makers and designers will find a great line-up of high-quality bead merchants and suppliers, with trade beads, gold and silver findings, seed beads, gems, cabochons, unusual components, and more, at great prices.

Meet the artists, artisans, and tradespeople showcasing vast and eclectic displays of new and old finished pieces and components. From handcrafted beads, findings, crystals, hand printed fabrics, clothing, and jewelry, to antique beads and ancient finds. 

Get creative and learn new skills with interactive workshops offered throughout the show. Try your hand at mixed media and jewelry making techniques such as enameling, beadwork, chainmaille, pearl knotting, soldering, kumihimo, wire work, and Peyote beading.

San Rafael Bead & Design Show promotes an amazing range of handcrafted and designer sourced media –beads, lapidary, gems, minerals, natural-dyed fibers, art jewelry, woodwork, glass work, artisan textiles, clothing, and antiquities.
