Wildlife SOS founders Geeta Seshamani and Kartick Satyanarayan are visiting from India and will be in Oakland to give a talk: “Saving India’s Wildlife.” Their 45-minute presentation will be followed by Q&A. You don’t want to miss this – it could be many years before the two are able to return to the U.S.
Wildlife SOS takes action against animal cruelty; rescues and rehabilitates wildlife in distress; and resolves human-animal conflicts through education and economic development.
There will be crafts available for sale made by the Kalandar people, who no longer subsist off bear dancing. RSVP appreciated but not required.
