Three Big Brass Bands Converge on Fulton Plaza Thursday (4/18)
Kick-off of Live Free Music Series Across the City
There will be horns aplenty on Fulton Plaza Thursday afternoon as three big brass bands will lead off a new citywide free concert series in San Francisco.
The event, a soft launch for the new SF Live series, will commence at 4:00 pm with one brass band marching in from City Hall, and another leading a procession in from the Civic Center BART station. The dazzling entrance will launch three hours of big brass music at the newly renovated Fulton Plaza, which sits between the San Francisco Main Public Library and the Asian Art Museum.
The show, co-hosted by Mr. Tipple’s Jazz Club, Illuminate, San Francisco Recreation and Parks, and the city’s Office of Employment and Workforce Development, will feature:
Honor Brass Band/MJ’s Brass Boppers/Jazz Mafia
