Event Details

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), will celebrate 35 years of building accessible transit with a block party in front of 69 12th Street at 11am.

The event is being held to honor the work of the disability community advocates, paratransit drivers, Muni operators and other staff who have made the public transit system in San Francisco a model of access.

To honor the legacy of paratransit advocates who have made a significant contribution to the SF Paratransit program, the SFMTA will unveil some of the 20 new paratransit vehicles, which are being named after advocates who have passed away. A number of advocates, staff, and officials will be on hand to take an historical look back at the history of the work that went into making San Francisco the city it is today.
