The Tweed Ride is a dress up bicycle party through the streets of San Francisco!
What is tweed? Tweed is a traditional English outdoor sporting fabric commonly seen with a thick wool herringbone (chevrons or V’s) weave and often in earth tones. Thrift shops and vintage clothing stores usually have a selection of tweed items, as do larger retailers around this time of year.
We will begin gathering at noon at Dolores Park by the tennis courts and roll out at 1PM. We will ride for about an hour and then stop for a picnic and group photo for about an hour and a half. From the picnic stop we will continue on to the final stop. The end point will have drinks but they do not serve food so plan accordingly, however, there are many options for food in the neighborhood. Bring lights if you plan on staying at the end point for a couple hours and hope to see you there!
