Farmers Markets have gone underground these days. This gathering of local professionals that don’t have the commercial kitchens required to qualify them for full-fledged farmers markets will give you a chance to taste their delicious wares that you can’t pick up anywhere else.
The fifth edition of the SF Underground Farmers Market (Wednesday, May 12th) is a little different as the event moves outdoors and also partners with the fun Disposable Film Festival with free outdoor screenings on the side of a downtown building starting at 8pm. There will be food workshops and, of course, get your fill of home grown veggies, wild mushroom spreads, soups, cupcakes, sour kraut and more.
Highlighted vendors for May 2010:
Good Foods (Home-grown pulled pork)
mmm, butter (Hand-churned buter)
Jordan Grosser, former head chef at Alembic (Homemade cheese)
Heartbaker (Amazing desserts)
Ben Lobenstein (American Kobe beef brisket)
