Event Details

Renowned artist Guillermo Gómez-Peña, Allison Lovejoy, and La Pocha Notra will be performing excerpts of a border opera titled “We Are All Aliens” at Saint Joseph’s Arts Foundation. Join us in a re-imagining Saint Joe’s luxurious interior as a salon for the end of the world.

This special event includes a performance dialogue between a concerto pianist, a radical opera singer, a mariachi band, and performance artists from the US and Mexico.
The collaboration will feature iconic American songs (from Aaron Copeland to Frank Sinatra) and Mexican compositions (from Revueltas to Vincente Fernandez). In addition to the live music, La Pocha Nostra will include live art images, projections, and spoken word to the layered performance environment.

Saint Joe’s bar will have your favorite beverages and a special alien cocktail available.

Make this a truly out-of-this-world experience by coming dressed as your favorite “Alien Other,” and get in for free.
