The Wines:

  • Poderi Elia Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, Italy, 2020 -100% Dolcetto. Ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of violets, dark cherry and red plum. On the palate, full of vibrancy, young tannins, black plum, blackberry, blueberry,
  • Laya (Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell), Almansa Spain, 2020 – A peculiar wine that combines complexity, structure and an intense covered cherry red color. Elegant, fresh and complex nose where ripe fruits and floral notes are appreciated. Pleasant and fresh entry on the palate, balanced and with sweet tannins, although youthful, unctuous and enveloping, with an original and interesting mid palate and a long finish.
  • Maison Alexandrins Viognier, Condrieu, France – A partnership between three winegrowers from the Rhône Valley – Nicolas Jaboulet, Guillaume Sorrel and Alexandre Caso – Maison les Alexandrins produces northern wines in a style at once contemporary and timeless, always from exceptional vineyards unearthed by Alexandre Caso, a specialist in the terroirs of the northern Rhône Valley. Classics with a twist, these wines and how they are aged and blended are guided by the quest for perfect harmony from a very young age. The wine comes from high-altitude vineyards, mainly located on the slopes in the Ardèche. he wine comes from high-altitude vineyards, mainly located on the slopes in the Ardèche and few parcels in the Bréseyme are floral, peachy, ripe pear, golden apple
  • JL Colombo Cotes du Rhone Les Abeilles, Cotes Du Rhone AOC, France – Jean-Luc Colombo has been a renowned enologist in the Rhône Valley since the early 1980s. His consultations at prestigious estates across the Rhône quickly earned him a reputation for helping produce incredible expressions of this rugged terroir. But his greatest contribution to the wine world is the exceptional wines he crafts alongside his wife, Anne, and daughter, Laure. The Cornas-based Colombo winery has earned impressive international recognition bringing modern viticultural practices to the region — and for creating beautifully concentrated, balanced, and fresh styles of syrah. Living among their vineyards and wetlands, the family have been committed to sustainable farming, achieving organic certification for their estate vineyards from Ecocert in 2016.
  • Juan Gil Red Blend , Jumilla, Spain, 2021– The Juan Gil Red Blend consists of 45% Monastrell, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Syrah fermented and matured separately for 12 months. This full-bodied red has abundant fruit with an oak influence. The dark raspberry notes blend nicely with the spice and cedar elements. The finish is bold with an espresso/chocolate note that is quite intriguing.
  • Patient Cottat Le Grand Caillou Pinot Noir, Vin de France, France, 2020 – Young garnet in color. Scents of sweet strawberry fruit, dried honey, and hints of pepper overlay subtle red fruits. Cranberry and red currant flavors on the palate. A delicate wine with real finesse leek and modern packaging features a watercolor depiction of the Dolomite mountains.
  • Alta Luna Sauvignon Blanc, Dolomoti IGT, Italy – Produced in Northern Italy’s Trentino region with grapes sourced from select hillside vineyard sites, Alta Luna offers expressive wines from the region’s native varieties. Established in 2011, Alta Luna offers a quartet of wines that appeal to a wide range of consumer preferences. With a name that means “High Moon” in Italian, Alta Luna’s sleek and modern packaging features a watercolor depiction of the Dolomite mountains.
