Fisherman’s Wharf Presents “Pier Party at the Wharf” Summer Concert Series
Running every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 3-7 PM until the end of September, this concert series kicks off on June 14, 2025!

Get ready to rock, because we’re gearing up to make waves this summer with the highly anticipated return of “Pier Party at the Wharf,” the celebrated concert series that transforms the heart of San Francisco’s iconic Fisherman’s Wharf into a vibrant musical hub.

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday from June through September, the Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District will bring a vibrant musical experience to the Crab Wheel Plaza.

The series will feature different, local musicians each concert, a Pier Party bar serving ready-to-drink premium craft cocktails, plenty of bistro-style seating, dancing, and dozens of retailers and restaurants to explore, all against the breathtaking backdrop of the waterfront and the bustling energy of Jefferson Street.

SEPTEMBER 13TH

Opening Act (3-4PM): Get here early for Patron Latin Rhythms! This Bay Area powerhouse started in 1993 with founder Delbert Ojeda, and now his daughter Vanessa is keeping dad’s dream alive as the new bandleader. These seasoned musicians will take you from Santana and Malo classics to Marc Anthony salsa hits, with some Bruno Mars and Stevie Wonder thrown in for good measure. Latin Rock meets R&B meets pure fun – you’ll be dancing from song one!

Headliner (5-7PM): Get ready to close out summer with a bang! Our second-to-last headliner is Agua Pura – the Bay Area’s incredible all-femme salsa band that’s been tearing it up on the local scene. These talented musicians call themselves “Una Divina Banda del Sabor” (A Divine Band of Flavor), and trust us, they live up to the name! What makes them so special? They’re bringing fresh energy to classic salsa while celebrating the amazing female talent we have right here in the Bay Area. Whether they’re putting their own spin on Fania All-Stars favorites or getting the crowd moving with merengue, cumbia, and Latin jazz, this band knows how to get people dancing. You’ll hear that signature brass and percussion sound that’ll have you on your feet before you know it. Don’t sleep on this one – Agua Pura is one of the most exciting things happening in Bay Area Latin music right now!

SEPTEMBER 27TH

Opening Act (3-4PM): The Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of San Francisco is an incredible orchestra of talented 11–18-year-olds bringing the heat with Afro-Latin music and salsa. For over 25 years, they’ve been nurturing the next generation through free music education and wowing Bay Area audiences. Get ready to be blown away by the future of Latin music!

Headliner (5-7PM): MOMOTOMBO-SF is a 10-piece Latin rock ensemble led by co-founders Leo Rosales (legendary original Malo member) and Gabriel Manzo (Malo’s lead guitarist for over 32 years). Drawing from their deep roots in these iconic San Francisco bands, along with notable Santana alumni, they perform classic Malo and Santana repertoire alongside original compositions. MOMOTOMBO-SF’s mastery of Latin Jazz and Rock, driven by Afro Cuban rhythms, creates an authentic sound straight from the adventurous, psychedelic days of Winterland and The Fillmore. Their name comes from the opening track of 1972’s Malo Dos album, “Momotombo” – also an active volcano on the shores of Lago de Managua, Nicaragua, reflecting the explosive musical energy that erupted from the Bay Area’s groundbreaking Latin Rock scene.
