SF’s “Tamale Lady” Celebration at Dolores Park (2022)

Thanks to the SF Gate for letting us know about the 4th Annual “Tamale Lady Day” celebration at Dolores Park on June 26, 2022.

We are gathering to celebrate the life of Virginia Ramos The Tamale Lady at 4pm on Sunday June 26, 2022 at Dolores Park near the playground.

Music and Tamales and candles and stickers and memories and hugs.

Virginia was beloved for not only helping feed bar-goers tamales throughout the Mission, but also for putting three of her kids through college. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 65.

Please note that SF Gate says the celebration is at 3pm, but the Facebook event page says the event is at 4pm
