Event Details

Join the Oakland Public Library as we showcase our favorite picture books of the season.

There will be jokes. Bad ones. There will be drinks. You can buy them. We recommend several. There will be books. Kids’ ones. No judgment.

Children’s picture books represent some of the finest illustration and commercial art available to the public; they are many people’s first experience with fine art, and one of the most affordable vehicles for purchasing art for the home. We’ll examine our favorite releases of Spring 2015 and take a look at the illustrators behind the work and their techniques.

Copies of the books will be available for purchase.
