Event Details

Danny Dechi, one of the oddest comedians in San Francisco (known as the world’s only pencil musician) hosts a monthly free comedy show at the Bazaar Cafe which regularly brings in a talented group of San Francisco funnymen (and woman). The July 2010  show is no exception with the juggling escape artist Fred Anderson, MTV 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour veteran Mike Meehan and more.

July 21, 2010 – Comedy Lineup

  • Danny Dechi’s stand-up comedy has been described as “Woody Allen doing vaudeville”. His humor, most often directed at himself, is a quirky combination of clean comedy & a unique #2 pencil musical act.
  • San Francisco legend Fred Anderson, a dynamic blend of comedy, magic, juggling and escape-artistry.
  • Headliner Mike Meehan, Mike’s style is engaging and hysterical. Mike’s credits include Evening at the Improv, Stand-Up Spotlight, MTV 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour, and Comic Strip Live.
  • Howard Stone is the best kept secret in Show Business. He’s an accomplished stand up comedian, actor, writer and cartoonist. His unconventional comedy style is both laid back and manic. Sitting on a stool (usually his own) Howard lures his audience into his world by weaving personal stories with sharp one liners and improvisation.
  • Lynn Ruth Miller started doing comedy on stage when she was 71 years old and hit the headlines in Edinburgh at the 2005 International Fringe Festival for jumping out of a cake (almost) and removing her clothes (not quite.)
  • Mike Spiegelman grew up in New Jersey, and, like half his high school class, moved to San Francisco. He has opened for Neil Hamburger, Emo Phillips, David Cross, the late Mitch Hedberg, Robin Williams, and many more.
  • Amir Malekpour’s comedy ranges from intellectual to the absurd. Growing in a diverse family and educational background, his comedy has developed into a unique perspective that has been making audiences laugh in clubs and colleges.
  • Vasu Primlani provides humorous insights on living in the US, green and political issues, alternative lifestyles, and provides a razor-sharp view on being an immigrant in the United States.
