Event Details

Join UC Berkeley’s Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies for this hilarious, irreverent adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s “The Seagull.”

An aspiring director rebels against the art of his mother’s generation. A young actor vies with an aging celebrity for the attention of an acclaimed writer. And everyone is thoroughly disillusioned in the process. Utilizing multiple performative lenses, the play examines questions of art, love, loss, and the eternal (and elusive) pursuit of happiness.

Pre-recorded performances of the virtual production will be streamed for free. RSVP at tdps.events/sfb
